What to do When Life is Unfair?

How many times have you wondered what to do when life is unfair? If only I had a dollar for every time I wondered the same myself.

It took me years to realize that life is as it is – and we are the ones that control our destiny.

There are a few things I’ve listed for you below.

Try doing them whenever things get rough. Think of them as guidance – and don’t waste years out of your life trying to change what cannot be changed. (something I’ve done in the past!)

Read on to find out more!

Here’s a short video where I talk about it:

As you can see from the video, my message is clear: life is unfair. And there’s not much you can do about it.

Actually, there’s only one thing you can do: accept the fact.

Don’t go around wasting precious time asking yourself why life doesn’t treat everyone the same.

The faster you accept that life is unfair, the easier will it be for you to experience joy in your life. Yes, it’s that simple!

Remember, no one owes you anything – you and you alone are in charge of your own happiness.

Still wondering what to do when life’s unfair? Here’s something that may help you!

Drop the victim mindset

Constantly asking yourself – Why me? won’t help you. In fact, it may even make you suffer even more.

Instead of looking for answers no one can give you, change your mindset. Look for possible solutions. See how you can change things.

You know that like attracts the like – the more negative you are about something, the more negativity you will end up with.

Start visualizing what you want your life to look like. Meditate, journal and replace old patterns of thinking with new ones. You’ll be surprised just how much your life can transform once you drop old beliefs!

Take responsibility back

I know what it feels like when life sucks.

However, there’s always something you can do about it. Now, it may not always be easy but it’s still better to try rather than do nothing. If everything is really out of your control, then the least you can do is control your emotional response.

Remember: your actions don’t have to be defined by your emotional reactions.

You can feel bitter about something but don’t sabotage yourself. Take back the responsibility for whatever is happening to you by changing the way you feel about it.

Pretty often, even that’s enough for you to witness a positive change.

See what you can learn from it

Once I read a quote that went something like this:

When life is sweet, say thank you and celebrate. When life is bitter, say thank you and grow.

This helped me massively improve the quality of my living. It’s basically teaching you to always look and find the good in everything.

I’m not saying you spend life suffering. All I’m saying is, listen closely. Maybe the Universe is trying to tell you something.

What do you do when you feel like life isn’t fair? Have you learned anything out of the times life didn’t go as planned?

Drop me a comment and let me know – I’d love to hear back from you!
